Mikunch and Related

In my quest to find clothing that fits a slim/small/flat-chested profile, in January 2016 I came across a store called Mikunch.  I've found that Japanese stores in particular are more likely to cater to small-breasted females, whereas an awful lot of Second Life starts out at pretty large and scales up from there.  Mikunch is just such a place -- a small store with cute clothing, mostly dresses, that work very well for small chested girls or even possibly flat-chested girly bois.

This was also one of those stores that has moved, so the first attempt to find them ported me in to an empty lot.  In these situations I look up the creator and check their profile picks, and that led me to the actual store.  I bought several dresses that suited my desire for a look with no obvious breasts, or very small ones.

You'll have to forgive me, I tend to take my pictures in scenic spots with my character off to one side and I use these for computer wallpaper.  ^_^  I forget what sim this was in since I did this early January, but this outfit is the Mikunch Embroidery min OP, sweater layered.  200 Lindens (for the dress and sweater).

This outfit is the spring onepiece with puff sleeves, 300 Lindens.  They have several colors/patterns for each of these designs btw.

This one is the draped OP w/pocket-T (white).  350 Lindens.  This one comes with a HUD so you can have multiple looks (colors and patterns).

Some of these show small breasts, and all of them are ultra-girly, but I think they can work for a femboi as well.  At least, one who is as girly as mine.  ^_^

This is an outfit using a Mikunch tee shirt (2014 summer-T).  250 Lindens, this also comes with a texture-changing HUD so it's more like 10 different tee shirts in one box.

There's more at the store.  An awful lot of it is multiple textures with a HUD so that you're getting several outfits for 250 to 350 Lindens.  Very good deals.  ^_^

Femboi 2.0

Apparently I did not post this in my blog, but sometime last year Utilizator came out with an updated version of their anime Avatar 2.0 that included three experimental bust sizes -- large, barely there, and flat.

As I've noted previously, very few designers are interested in designing anything for a flat-chested female body (femboi, or young girl).  Bare Rose is just about the only one doing it.  I've played with the Utilizator Avatar 2.0 on my other characters, but when I saw that they had a  flat-chested version of the avatar, I was intrigued.  I bought one for my femboi Kelly Eden.

The downside to this development was that there were very, very few clothing items for sale for said avatar at the time.  Utilizator had a few things, and I found one other inventor called AiTech (Artificial Incarnation Technologies) who had something I liked -- a collection of flat-chested Avatar 2.0 shirts.  I only bought the "It's a Trap!" shirt, but it was worth the money.

Now, the market for Avatar 2.0 clothing is filled with people doing texture mods for the clothing that Utilizator designs, and/or doing some very simple designs of their own.  AiTech seemed no different -- just a few shirts, all the same item with different textures.  So I would never have guessed what was to come.

Fast forward nearly a year, and I decided to check out Utilizator again.  He has more stuff designed for the flat-chested Avatar 2.0 (for all four breast sizes actually).  He also has an updated avatar that makes it much easier to use the flat-chested version or to switch between versions.

(He also has a new avatar out -- the Kenmono avatar, which is an easily-moddable furry avatar which also works with his M3 anime head system.  The body is small-chested and wide-hipped, and a lot of the secondary market modders and developers have seized on this new avatar not only to create a lot of different furry looks, but also as an anime avatar.  You can get a lot of clothing and skin mods and the like for this.  I only mention it because it seems to draw some steam from the Avatar 2.0 project -- if you want an anime avatar, you have two different ways to go now and they're not really compatible with each other.)

Anyway, after extensive searching I found more stuff for the flat-chested Avatar 2.0.  Eidelweiss had a new design that was adapted for it, and some of their older stuff is adapted for the Avatar 2.0 but without the breast sizes.  But I found one designer in particular who has been focusing on making mesh clothes for the Avatar 2.0 -- AiTech.

https://marketplace.secondlife.com/stores/18339

At first I was a bit put off by the prices -- generally 500 Linden or more per outfit.  But each of these is a complete outfit designed for all four breast sizes (including flat) and with multiple color options -- and the design work is really very good!  After picking up one I wound up buying most of what he had.  He also answered a question I had about getting part of one outfit to work properly with the HUD, so points for customer service too!

First off, the shirred bust dress -- beautiful!  I wound up buying this last because all of the pictures showed a version with breasts, and nothing in the description specifically said it came with all four breast options -- but then I found that one of the reviews from the market place said so.  It's really a lovely dress, one of his best items for the Avatar 2.0.  It comes in several pastel colors and several darker colors, but I love the lavender the best!

Next up is the bunny suit.  This one comes with a "bulge" option, for those femboi's who don't bother to tuck themselves.  Again, this comes with all four breasts options and multiple color choices, and includes the full outfit -- shoes and all.

The schoolgirl dress is another beautiful outfit with multiple colors and all chest options.  I love the high-waist skirt on this -- so unlike what was even possible in SL before mesh.

There's a Next Gen dress for Star Trek fans.  Comes with all bust options and can swap between red, blue, and gold depending on where you work on the ship.  (You can promote yourself by adding to the command buttons on the collar as well).  There's only a dress -- no pants option -- but that's fair, because both boys and girls can wear it, so there's no discrimination!  (Imagine the show where everyone on the ship wears a dress!)

This last outfit is not an AiTech outfit; it's a Utilzator schoolgirl top (which also comes with multiple color options and sizes), paired with a schoolgirl skirt from Eidelweiss (there didn't seem to be a Utilizator skirt to go with the top).  The skirt works well with the Avatar 2.0 body, but you buy each color separately, so I chose black.  The hose and shoes are also Utilizator.

All told, I'm enjoying my flat-chested Avatar 2.0 much more than when it first came out and there were only a couple of options for clothing!

(These pictures are taken in zones:  Timeless Memories, Skye Neist Point, and Eclectica.)

Latest Adventure -- Done Wiv A Twist

I've kind of ignored this blog for over a year, so I'm surprised to see that one recent day in the last week I had as much as 73 visits.  Not sure if that means anyone is reading it or just passing through, but anyway... I didn't actually even log in to SL between July of last year and the first three months of this year, but in the last two weeks I've been having fun with my femboi Kelly Eden again.  If nothing else, in the last half year or so Bare Rose has massively expanded their line of flat-chested outfits.

I have a kind of love-hate relationship with Bare Rose.  On the one hand, their stuff is fantastically imaginative and extremely well-priced.  If you're looking for anything fantasy-related, I couldn't recommend them highly enough.  It's hard to wander their store and not find something you want to buy, and most of their outfits come with multiple options.  On the other hand, their outfits are usually a one-size-fits-most and a one-concept-fits-most sort of thing.  The Goldline and Black Lady schoolgirl outfits, for example, come in one size that is kind of oversized in order to fit all comers (being a full-body mesh outfit except for the legs, this pretty much works).  The pieces fit together well but aren't designed for any mix and matching with other outfit pieces.  And that's kind of a rule when it comes to mesh anyway, but extremely true of Bare Rose outfits.

But virtually nobody else makes mesh for a flat chest, so I'm really happy with them right now!  And if it's all schoolgirls and magical girls and steampunk and gods and angels, it's still something nobody else has!  I even visited a couple of specialty stores that supposedly catered to fembois... and they also almost entirely adhered to the standard XL/L/M/S/XS sizing with breasts visible in all options.  WTH?  If you're going to specialize, then specialize.

Anyway!  I bought a lot of new outfits and animations over the last few weeks.  Today I visited a place called Done Wiv A Twist.  This is not exactly a secret place -- I'm too out of the loop to find hidden gems, I just go to the Second Life Destination Guide and pick places that look interesting to visit and take pictures.  But this place is especially cool, and apparently they change it seasonally.

So here's some new photos:

This is one of the aforementioned magical girl/schoolgirl Bare Rose outfits (called Flat Pastel Fuyufuku).  They've done a bunch of stuff that is pastel-colored like this, and I can't help but think that these outfits would appeal to any extra-girly femboi.

This is another, less specialized outfit from Bare Rose -- Flat Kanna.  This photo is actually from another location, a sort of post-apocalyptic site called Hazardous.

Mix and match hiking outfit -- the top is Addams Western Shirt for Women, which presents a reasonably flat appearance.  The shorts are from Tokyo Girl.  Socks ShuShu Trend Step Up Stockings, boots are Munique Ugg Boots Grey.

The piano at Done Wiv A Twist is pretty nifty.  ^_^

This is a Tokyo Girl skin and hair by the way -- Hestia skin (this is not a skin with a femboi option btw) and Panpan hair.

Definitely a very photogenic place!

Few More Items

Leri Miles Designs [LMD] Neil Mesh Shirt in Pink with the LMD Layered Skirt in Denim Pink.  This shirt works moderately well for a small breast/flat chest look.

Same top paired with  the LMD Carly Shorts in Pink.

This top is The Secret Store -- Lua's Cropped shirt.  It works for a small-breasted look, hard to imagine my Kelly boi has a flat chest with this on though, but I bought it anyway.

Now this top from LMD works really well for a flat chest / bare chest.  This is their Embroidered Denim Wildlife shirt in black with a dragon design on the back.

Another look at the Boom courderoy pants that I love.  I bought another color pack yesterday.

Some More Photos

New pieces here are cord pants from Boom which I love, they come in a huge range of colors and their mini-packs are five different colors for 500 Linden.  I bought one but I really want to buy a second.  Then there's the flower shorts from SLC and at the end the Mick Mouse sweatshirt from BarmaleY, along with pink socks from Boom.

Locations from the top:  Capella, I forget the name of the store there but I'd been there before and it's quite spooky; Crux Island, with a glow-in-the-dark fairy landscape, and last is Babbage Square.

Pretty In Pink -- Sheer Blouse

I liked the sheer chiffon floral blouse from GizzA so much that today my project was to track down a few more sheer blouses.  One of the benefits of me doing this is that most such blouses are going to be non-mesh -- doing a sheer blouse with mesh is a difficult trick to pull off, since the mesh item really doesn't rest against your avatar's body, but creates a body shape itself, which is why you usually need an alpha layer to hide the parts of your body  that stick through.  But an alpha layer means there's nothing to see underneath if you make it  transparent -- the only mesh outfits I've seen that attempt this are small items that mostly cover the chest, because they have to float above the skin everywhere.  (The shirts that Edelweiss sells for their schoolgirl line have a bra peeking through built into the shirt's texture, which is another way to create the illusion of a semi-transparent shirt.)  Anyway non-mesh means a flat chest for my boi so that works for me.

I was really looking for a good office blouse/shirt like the ones that Edelweiss sells, and I found several nice sheer shirts and chiffon blouses, some of which qualify as office blouses I guess, and a couple of flowery flounce skirts as well. I also tracked down a few more stocking options from freebies on the market.

I decided to label this my pretty in pink line because all of these outfits use either the pink skirt above from SLC or a black version with pink flowers of the same design.  Above we have the slightly-sheer Intrigue Blouse in pink from Sassy!

Here is the SLC Chiffon Blouse in lilac, which bears an incanny resemblance to the GizzA floral blouse (probably for a good reason?)  Several of these blouses came with a bra clothing layer to use beneath the sheer outfit -- a lot of them, like this one, were quite sheer.  I liked the bra from the DEW outfit best, that's what I'm using in all of the photos.

Night'n'Day Shee Sheer in gray, with the black flower skirt and some gray freebie stockings.  (Or maybe they were from the 45L pack.)

Isis Shirt from Zara.

Poppy Sheer Chiffon Blouse in black from Pink.

This is the Sissy White Shirt from DEW that the bra I used came with.  Strangely enough it almost works better with some of the other tops than the one it was designed for.

The sheer chiffon floral blouse from GizzA.  Note the resemblance to the SLC Chiffon Blouse.

I also picked up this top in blue from SLC.  But I was frustrated that both this and the blouse above it weren't in their in-game store anywhere, I had to order both off the marketplace.  Which is not so bad for the sheer blouse, but the spaghetti strap chiffon blouse here in blue is a mesh item, and the market warned me to try the demo first, but they don't sell the demo on the market and you apparently can't get it in-game either.  But this top closely resembles the Colly tops that I love from Danielle, which I would guess is also not really a mistake.  But I had an idea it would work because the Danielle ones did, and I was pretty much right.  Paired here with a panel skirt in white from Color Me H.O.F. and freebie lace stockings from PB Plausible Body (market).
